RUSSIA DEFENDED
THE PEOPLE HAPPY. (United Press Association.—ByElectrit Telegraph .—Copyright.) ; LONDON, Oct. 1. In marked contrast to the Kent miners’ account of Russia is the impression of Russia given to the Swansea Rotarians .by Mr Dan Thomas who is the Secretary of a Colliery Company, and is Lord Melchett’s principal Cardiff ►secretary. Mr Thomas states that he did not see one ill-clad child in Russia. All of them seemed to be excellently nourished, and the whole nation had only the good of Russia at heart. Men performed the drabbest duties, only because they ■ believqd that they were
helping Russia. Tlie distribution of happTness, he said, was far greater than ever it was under the Tsarist regime.
