SALE OF MUNITIONS. ALARM IN FRANCE. PARIS, September 26. Many newspapers are alarmed at the auction that will take place on October 11 of Allied war-time munitions, that include 8,000,000 cartridges and 30,000. rifles.
The conditions stipulate that only French people can buy then, but they must be exported to Belgium within a year. The papers ask: Whatsis, there to prevent' the munitions finally going to Morocco, Syria or Russia? Would it not "be better' to dump the lot into the ocean ? .
