The Daily Telegraph’s naval correspondent disclosses that Germany, in addition -to having a “pocket battleship,” also possesses the “last word” in cruisers. She lias, he says, the sixthousand tonner Konigsberg, now built with a speed of thirty-four knots per hour. She carries nine six-inch guns, with a range of 111 miles, also twelve torpedo tubes, and a minelaying plant. She lias cost two million one hundred thousand sterling, which is far more than Britain’s ten thousand tonner. There are three sister ships to the Konigsberg now being built.
