The Prefect of the Seine announces that steel houses, which can he turned out within eight minutes, and which require only a few hours to assemble, will be used to solve the Paris housing problem. The steel houses will replace thousands of the wooden hovels on the outskirts of the city.
These new dwellings contain bathrooms, electric light, and central heating. They will be cool in summer and warm in winter! Their walls are constructed of hollow steel cells, encased by parallel steel bars.
