Thomas, Minister in Charge of Employment; to-day received at the Treasury about a'dozen representative* of the coni owners, with whom he wished to discuss the question of selling British con] in .Canada. The meeting was a sequel to bis repent visit to th" Dominion, when he learned that contracts for British coal could he obtained if the price was suitable. Among the con) owners present wer Mr Evan Williams, president, and M’ i,ee. secretary, of the Coal Owners Association.
