The annual meeting of the above Company will be held next Saturday, sth. inst. . The following sta.ement from the Chairman has been issued with the annual balance sheet: CHAIRMAN'S REPORT. At the commencement of the year tinner review it was proposed'to ciose your Factory and meetings of Liree.oi's and supplieis were held to consider the proposal. However, the large majority of your suppliers did not •favour the proposal and it was decided to continue running your factory. Some supply was lost as a result, and, while it is admitted that any loss of supply is to he greatly regretted, it is pleasing to he able to report that the cost of .manufacture has been kept within leasoiiable limits. Apart from butter sold locally, the ■whole of Che season’s output was shipped on consignment to London, and it nas been ad sold with the exception-,of two small shipments. Your suppliers have been paid fourteen pence perdb. for-all. butter-fat from finest grade '■crcrtm supplied during the seasofi, with the exception of October month’s supply for which one shilling per lb. was paid. It is intended to make a further payment which will be sufficient to bring the total pay out to is 3:ld per lb. for all linest grade but-cer-fat supplied. Early in the season Mr C. .T. Barrett resigned the managership and was succeeded by Mr J. M. Prebble, whose careful attention to the welfare of your Factory has given general satisfaction. The retiring Directors are Messrs ,J. Friend T. Nolan and R. Dunn, and the retiring Auditor is ~Mr M. H. Houston. These wentlemeu are again eligible for election.
