Natives who recently visited East Island at East Cape report that graves on the southern side of the island have slipped down the hill (states the “New Zealand Herald ”). 'J' he graves , were those of members of the crew of the Hinemoa,. who were 1 drowned about 30 years ago while landing material for the lighthouse.
