The “Daily Express” reveals that Colonel Rutherford was released from Broadmoor at the beginning of the year on condition that he left England.

It is understood that lie has taken up his residence in the East/ but his family has received no direct communication from him since his release.

Colonel Cecil Norman Rutherford, of the Royal Anny Medical Corps, was tried in 1919 for the murder of Major Miles Seton, of the Australian Medical Corps, and found guilty, but insane, it is alleged that Rutherford found liis wife and Seton in a compromising situation, and fired his revolver in the heat of the moment. Seton was fatally wounded. Rutherford was ordered to be detained at the King’s pleasure, and was: sent to Broadmoor criminal Lunatic Asylum. At the time of his release at the: end of January of this year, it was stated that release was conditional upon his living- abroad, and it was understood that he was going to Canada. . ■" ,
