A.DF-L * IDE,. An trust ’33. Ivo Whitton is the open golf champion for the fourth time! He showed or eat form. Joiner the third round in 77, and the fourth in 79, his total being 309. He missed long rutting -by inches, a.ndi was unlucky. His wonderful drives were a feature of his play. Eyre and Stewart tied for second place .with 314 each, doing 83,.and 80 respectively. Stewart made a remarkable recovery with a brilliant 73 in the third round, playing in .foul wea-, ther. Evre was weak ,at putting. Morpeth lapsed into errors., returning 85. He thus dropped from the lead, to tenth.
