CENTENARIAN CLUB.
(Received this day at 9.25 a.m.) LONDON, August 23. Five hundred Londoners have joined the Centenarian Club' ; pledged by example and precept to further the cause enabling everyone to become centenarians. . The Club’s researches show there are about thirty-six men, find 109 women centenarians in England and Scotland,, and forty-two men and seventy-four women in Irish Free State. The Society’s motto is “ Avoid .pxcesses,” The founders are convinced,' 1 thata generous expansion of the present average span of life is possible, if they eat sparingly of all good foods, limit, qlcojioljii and smoke reasonably, nlpd-J’ileeiKLleight hours. . Then there is every reason to believe they will not only reach the century, but become able-mindqd and clear-thinking centenarians.
