SYDNEY, May 26. The Atlanta left Sydney on Wednesday morning, Pilot Brain having attended the inquiry on Tuesday regarding the Kookaburra and Southern Cross. He reached Brisbane the same afternoon and was joined by RobinsWi, manager of 4 QG. as wirelesser and <i companion mechanic. Leaving Brisbane on Thursday morn ing they reached Darwin yesterday and set out to-day to search the northern coast. - They found the Vellore' with the right wing slightly damaged. ihe Government lighthouse steamer Kyogle has been instructed to pick up Aloir and Owen and the machine and take them to Darwin. FURTHER PARTICULARS. STEAMER EXPECTED ON TUESDAY (Received, this day at 9.25 a.m.) BRISBANE, May 27., Robinson, amplifying yesterday’s messages, states the Vellore s light wing is broken. , e . Aloir and Owen waved to the crew ou the Atlanta; Messages .were dropped and Moir and Owen replied by signals that both were unhurt and desired a boat to pick them up as soon as possible. The Atlanta returned to Darwin yesterday afternoon. • It is now. learned the" lighthouse steamer Kyogle'was on the way to Cape'Don lighthouse last week, when islie was ordered to search the coast lor the missing aviators.
