A remarkable sad coincidence on Saturday was the death of two brothers; Messrs J. G. Nancekivell, of Blaketown, and William Nancekivell, > of Woodstock, near Hokitika. • That .of Mr J. G. Nancekivell occurred at the Grey River Hospital at the age of 76 years. native of Devonshire, England, lie was educated at Exeter College, and for many vears was an ordained Minister of the Methodist Church, being engaged in service not only in various parts of England and Wales, but also later in America. Owing to ill heath, he resigned, and 19 vears ago he arrived in New Zealand. Coming to Greymouth, he entered into business at Boundary Street as a blacksmith and general wright. Besides his widow he leaves a family of three, Mr William Nancekivell (Auckland) being a son, whilst the daughters are MesJames Schedel ((Sydney) and E. Ellery (Greymouth).
