The scrutiny in connection with the Northern 'Hiding Election for the County of Westland, was concluded yesterday, Mr T. J. McGuigan being present as scrutineer for Mr B. Ward. The first result, Messrs Ward and Murdoch, was not disturbed, and the two gentlemen were declared duly elected to the Council. Good news for golfers! The annual ball of the Hibernian Society is to take place this night week in the Soldiers’ Hall.
