“HARD-BOILED HAGGERTY” TO-NIGHT. Milton Sills is at his very best m the attraction at the Princess Theatre tonight in a picture called “ Hard-Boiled Haggerty,” which Wid Gunning produced' for First National Pictures. Powerful characterisation, human, and, above all, a warmly humnn romance, places “ Hard-Boiled Haggerty ” at tofc> of the list of Milton Sills’ stellar vehicles to date. Figuring prominently in the romance and drama of the picture is the newest and one of the most promising of young leading ladies, Molly O’Day. The plot was adapted by Carey Wilson (from Elliot "White Springs’ magazine story, “ Belated Evidence,” and Charles Brabin directed the picture/' which is billed as a Charles Brabin production. It is Splendidly staged, has some beautiful, quaint and picturesque technical effects and excellent photography and lighting credited to Cameraman Sol Polito. Arthur Stone, Mitchell Lewis, George Fawcett, Yola d’Avril and Lucien Prival are among the principals of the supporting cast in effective characterisations. V A topical, gazette and further chapters of the new serial “ Blake of Scotland Yard ” will also be shown. On Saturday.—“ The Spotlight!”
