From Station master, Hokitika, statng arrangements were being made for i through train from Hokitika on '.loiulay, Alareli -Ith; also that a special train would lie arranged for the ■xcuision to Lake Alaliimipua.—Re•cived. Tlie Mayor reported that the guarintee fund canvass had not been comiloted but lie could safely stale that bis would be highly satisfactory.
