The Soviet claims to have made the discovery of a Trotskyist Secret Society, to which one hundred and fifty people who have 'been arrested belonged. These are all connected with the Moscow branch. Pour hundred other arrests have been made in Leningrad, Odessa, and K ieff. It is stated that a search oif their homes has revealed secret documents, proving the direct connection of the Opposition with foreign countries. 'Those arrested include several who have played a big part in Bolshevist affairs, such as AI. Divani, once the Soviet commercial representative at Baris; AI. Bankratoff, a former member of the Council of Defence; and AI. Yoronsky, one of Lenin's chief press satellites. RIGA, January 25. Coinciding with over one hundred and fifty arrests in Aloscow and elsewhere, the Communist Party has issued a statement declaring a relentless war against the Trotsky forces, around which all the anti-Soviet forces in the country are stated to he rallying. It accuses the Trotsky supporters of endeavouring to corrupt the Bed Army, and adds that members of the party must understand that the banned Trotsky supporters are members of an antiSoviet organisation with which relations are forbidden.

The “Daily Telegrnplds ” Berlin correspondent states:—“According to Trotsky’s German organ, the “ Yolkswillo.” Trotsky’s life is again in danger. The political bureau has reported (hat it had been decided that he must be put across the frontier into Turkey, where lie will he assassinated in such a wav as to enable the Bolsheviks to disclaim responsibility.
