WASTE PETROL
CONVERTED INTO COAL

A process which converts petroleum into coal is announced by the International Conference on Bituminous Coal.
In the new process, Dr Walter Pittman uses waste petroleum. After all, the gasolene obtainable by cracking has bee nextracted by heating and running the waste through pipe coils, several thousand feet long, and each four hundred tons, the waste is changed through vapour into three hundred tons of oil, recovered for the manufacture of gasolene, and into one hundred tons of coal. Coal runs in a liquid form and hardens.
