.Jane La Verne, the beautiful blonde who pbivs a prominent supporting role in Reginald Denny's “Thai s .My Daddy.” which will open at the Princess Theatre to-night, can scarcely read or write. It’s not that she’s illiterate for she is exceptionally bright for her age. which is four. She has just been going to school since September and is taking her three It’s very seriously for she* want's to grow up to be- a. big movie star. Little Jane was discovered by Denny when she was visiting her lather who is in charge of the tin-shop at l niversal studio. He needed a cute little child for his picture and he was so attracted (to her that he knew she was the girl for his production. As a result of Denny’s confidence l niversal placed her under a five year contract and she will appear in many iorthcoming productions. Jane is a native California daughter having been born in Mediands. She lived in Paseadena for a time before her father joined l mversal when the family moved to Hollywood. Fred Xewmeyer. the director, asserts that Jane is a natnial actress and predicts a sensational success .for the, tiny Denny protege. The supporting cast of the picture includes Barbara. Kent. Lillian Rich. Torn O'Brien. Mathildo Brundagc. Wilson Benge, Armand Kali/.. Charles Coleman and Art Currier.
