REFORM, CANDIDATE. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) NELSON, September 27. Mr F. W. O. Smith, the Chairman of the Nelson Education Board and a member of other local bodies, has been selected to contest the Nelson seat in the Reform interest at the general election. A CANDIDATE. ASHBURTON, September 28. Robert W. Wightman, dairy farmer, of Mount Hutt, Methven, announces his candidature for mid-Canterbury as an independent.
