SIR JOSEPH WARD’S INTENTIONS. WELLINGTON, Sept. 26. A hint of Sir Joseph Ward’s plan of campaign as leader of the non United Party during the coming general election campaign was given in die House of Representatives to-night during his speech on the taxation question. ‘‘l don’t propose-to ramble through every electorate,” said Sir Joseph. “I shall make a policy speech and what 1 have to say I: shall say somewhere. .! lave no doubt that those people who ire interested in political matters vvil. >e able to read what I have said vherever they may be.” This -'brief indication of electioneering plans was given in reply to an interjection by the Ylinister of Education, the Hon. R. A. Wright, who sought to know whether Sir Joseph regarded the land tax system now in operation as sound. Sir Joseph’s direct retort to this question was that he did not intend to deal with questions of policy in the course of -an unprepared speech in the House.
