NIGHT-TIME SPORTS MEETING WELLINGTON, Nov. 19.
The outstanding performances at an electric light meeting, under the auspices of the Wellington Centre, held at the Basin Reserve, on Saturday night, were those of G. Bayne, who heat R. A. Rose by a couple of yards in the one mile, in tinin. 32secs., and F. S. Ransom, who defeated the champion, C. AA'. Lander, in both the 120 and 440 yards hurdle race. Only scratch events were included on the programme and the form displayed was of a high standard. The track was inclined to lie heavy after the recent rains. There was an attendance of between two and three thousand spectators.
