The Sheffield Shield match’ ’'resulted in a win for New South Wales by alt*' _ innings and 253 runs. w Victoria in the first innings were ~ dismissed for thirty-five runs. Davie (not out) 10 was the only batsman to reach double figures. AlcNamee took 7 wickets for 21 runs and Alaeartncy took 3 for 14. Following on Victoria scored 181 runs. Hendry made £B, Baring 35 and Liddicut 55. Alaeartncy 2 for 14, AlcNamee 3 for 41. Everett. 2 for 45, Fox 2 for 17. Victoria resumed their first innings this morning on a tricky wicket-. The batsmen were hopelessly at sea against Alaeartncy and AlcNamee. The latter’s > figures for the morning were (5 for 18. Roth bowled superbly, taking full advantage of their 'opportunities. A ictoria’s second strike was more lively. ITendry, Baring and Liddicut indulged in some hard hitting.
