Houston and Co report: At the above sale yesterday our entry consisted of 50 head of fat cattle, which were submitted to a large attendance of buyers. Competition was good throughout the sale and although the opening prices were lower than last sale by about: 30s per head, prices firmed considerably as the sale progressed. Good ox and heifer beef ranged from 42s as high as 48s at times, 11 10 average being about 455, whilst cow beef sold from 32s upwards, according to quality. We sold as follows:—On account of Sullivan Bros (Weheka) 2 heifers at £9.
