Dee. 15. Doctor Kandoz has discovered a. narcotic named tricaine. whereby cold blooded animals can be rendered torpid, enabling test and ohsorvat ions, which otherwise would be impossible to lie made without vivisection. I'isli and eggs can be kept torpid for weeks. Dr. Sutido/. believes the discovery opens up a promising vista for the rejuvenation of human beings by spreading growth over lorty instead of twenty years. It may also cheek cancerous cells in human beings. TRAIN SAFE. PEKIN. Dec. 11. *- Tbe international train, mentioned yetserday, returned to Pekin all safe. Artillery fired on the train, but there were no casualties.
