Meetings have been called of various t,ranches of the Federated Seamens I'mon to reconsider the threat- issued •to shipowners that the men will he withdrawn if the demands are not conceded. A conference has also been culled by the Commonwealth Steamship Owners Association of all shipowners. at which a common understanding on their attitude towards the seamens' demand will be sought.
