WEST COAST RUGBY UNION. GREYMOUTH, April 22. The usual weekly Executive meeting was held last evening, there being present:- .Messrs A. A. Adams (chair), J. Guy, J. Kyle, J. Rothwell, T. Mclntosh, 11. M. Coulson, E, .McGregor, T. Gillooly, D. Dowell, A. Dawn, and X. \V. Jones (secretary).

Zealand Union, .Mr Adams, was instructed to vote against the Wellington Union’s remit to the annual meeting re increasing the voting power < the. major unions, and to support the Auckland Union’s remit in reference to inclusion of reinstated players in representative teams. T’be Bullet- Union wrote in reference to a conference of delegates from the Seddon Shield Unions "to consider the advisability of appointing referees to control Seddon Shield matches from within the Seddon Shield Union's boundary, but it was decided that this Union be in favour of the selection remaining as at present, i.e., that, referees should be selected by the New Zealand Management Committee. It was resolved that in the meantime. the W.C.R.U. waive its prior right of challenge for the Seddon Shield again t Marlborough. ft was resolved that proxies would i >e from the three tsenior from the Westland District at Executive meetings. 'I he Secretary and President- were empowered to wait on the Bailway authorities in regard to train arrangements for the football season. It was resolved that the Grey Union and the Westland Sub-Union have sole control of their respective competitions from the junior grade down. In reference to the annual seven-a-side tournament on June 3rd., it was moved that this matter lie held over till next meeting night, as far as the inter change of teams from tho two districts was concerned. An amendment was carried that the tournaments be run independently in both districts.

It was resolved that the postponement committee work in conjunction from both districts, and that word be sent from town to town not later than 11 a.m. in the event of grounds not being fit to play on. It was resolved that the Selection Committee consist of one member each front tho two Sub-Unions, and the Grey district, and that these be appointed at the earliest moment possible.
