CHRISTCHURCH RETAINS SHTELT). fBY TELEORAPH —PER PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHURCH, March 24. The Christchurch Boys High School retained the Heathcote Williams Shield by defeating Waitaki by 318 runs. The losing team is a very young one, and should do well with a little more experience. Christchurch made 110 and -Of) Powell 53, Mortloek 115, Cromb 40, and Carleton 40. Abbott took four wickets for 02 runs, Blundell 2 for 65, Mercer 1 for 35 and McAllen 3 for 50. Waitaki knocked up 33 and 50, Searle 10, Sumpter 12, and Elliot 13. Cromb got four wickets for 22 runs, Burrows 3 for 25 and Moffatt 2 for 3.
