A number of amendments to awards, t omprising chiefly increased bonuses affecting - Dominion awards, were filed to-day with liie Registrar of Awards. The Male Moot Operatives Dominion award lias been amended in the wages clauses. The-minimum rate of pay of

all workers within the scope of the award has been fixed at. not less than Is (id per hour, the wages of hourly workers entitled to he paid only for time actually worked above the minimum rate, to be increased by a bonus of 4) per hour. The ordinary working week is to consist of 45 hours. Any time worked beyond ordinary hours is to be paid for at the rate of time and a half for the first three hours and thereafter double time. The minimum rate for apprentices is to be increased by Is per week. The female boot operatives award has been amended to provide a minimum wage for women having served five years and upwards of £2 |X‘r week, computed by the hour, and for hot wax thread machinists of £2 7s fid per week. If work is not continuous they are to he paid per hour at the same rate. The minimum wagse have been increased by a bonus of 4s fid per week. The hours of labour and overtime are the same as in the men’s award. In addition to the award dates of March, 1920, there is to he paid to the woollen mills employees throughout the Dominion the following bonuses—Adult male workers ijd per hour, female workers ifd, girls, boys, and youths Is per week. 11l the case of shearers and shed hands the minimum rates prescribed in the August, 1920, award are increased by the following bonuses: —Adult workers on weekly wages 13s per week, hourly wages 3RI per hour, youths (is per week or l]d per hour. This order is to amend the eWllington, North ( anlei'hiiry, Otago, Southland, and Marlborough industrial district awards. All the awards operate from November Ist, 1920. In the case of printers’ machinists’ lithographers, hook binders, etc., the existing bonus of lls per week is increased by 3s in the case of male workers, and in the case of female workers the 3s per week bonus is increased to 4s (id. Apprentices, night workers, and juniors are to be paid 6s per week (Is increase) in addition to the day basic wage. The minimum rates of pay for apprentices are to he increased by a bonus of Is per week. The order regarding the bonus is the same as m the case of typographers,
