AMERICA’S ATTITUDE: AUSTRALIAN & N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION] WASHINGTON, March 30. President’s Wilson’s Note to the Allies on the Turish situation has : o*v been published. It declares the United States is convinced that no final decision regarding the Straits should he made without the consent of Russia. The United States, he says, sanction any settlement that grant American ciizens and corporations rights in Turkey on an equality with those of the other nations iliat are V parties to the Turkish Treaty. . . Armenia should be made independent ' A with access to the sea. Turkey should relinquish Mesopotamia, Arabia, Palestine and Syria*. The Turk should not be allowed to remain in Europe. 1 Sothern East Thrace should, be given to Greece, and Northern East Thrace to Bulgaria. PRESIDENT AND TURKEY. The President is anxious over Armenia’s future and does not consider it desirable tile Turks' sfiould remain at Constantinople, but does not declare in favour of a formal expulsion.
