(By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs Matson and Co. report as follows regarding the above sales on Wed nesdav. Fat Cuttle.—The yarding is about equal to last week. The demand was good, but freezing buyers were not operating, as values were above their limits. Extra heavy steers sold to £•0.1; prime, £l6 10s to €10; light and unfinished. £l2 10s to £l-1. Cows and heifers, €l2 to £ll, and up to £2l for show cattle.

Store cattle—There was a very small yarding, mostly, comprised of dry rows'. One small pm of 3-year old st-ows icr.de €lu 12s fid; yearlings sold at U-i ]i)s to €!!; dry cows €8 to €9. There were practically no quotable lines entered, but the general tone of the market is linn.

Fat sheep—There was an exceptionally small yarding and following two previous short markets, the butcherre omniy handed, consequently pri-
