BOWLING.
A most interesting howling match was witnessd on the Grey green on AVednesday afternoon when tlie final of the Club’s full rink championship was played between Messrs J. Duncan, F. Wise, AA’. Fletcher (Substitute for R. Johnston), .1. Ring (Skip), and ( AA 7 . Blair, J. L. Alorgan, C. AA 7 . Y'ates, F. Spiller (Skip). The play was of a very high order and right up to tlie championship form throughout, the teams running neck and i\eek all tTie way. At the 19th. head the scores were 14 all and on the 20th head Ring scored one, leaving Spiller to score one for a draw and two for a win on the last head. This head was a very good one, Ring’s team lying two when Yates had a running shot, and carried the Jack hack hut Ring still held one. Spiller failed to improve,' and Ring--.thus won by two points. Each man -played well, the heads being altered time after time, and the small score, 1G to 14, shows that the play was meritorious. The onlookers showed their appreciation of the good play with liberal applause, and declared it was one of_the best •matches witnessed on the green. The winners are to he congratulated on their victory.
