A final reminder is given of Messrs M. Houston and Co’s, auction sale tomorrow at 2.30 p.m., when the Belle Vue Hotel property will be submitted for sale. The section is a full-sized one and admirably situated either for a business or residential site. The property will be submitted as a going concern with publican’s license, and if not sold, t'.-e building recently gutted by fire will be offered for sale for removal.
A living mishap, fortunately unaccom. panied by serious consequences, occurred at the aviation ground at Sock burn on Monday. One of the pupils while undergoing schooling tests in short flights, misjudged his speed and “crashed ” the machine. He escaped with several cuts on the face, although the machine was rather badly damaged. The pupil, who received immediate medical attention, bad actually made twenty-four flights during the day, each of about threequarters of a mile. He was able to return to th© aerodrome in an hour or two, and it is expected that he will resume training in the course of the next few days.
