HOKITIKA DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL
THE BREAKING-UP CEREMONY There was a large attendance of parents at. the State School yesterday afternoon when the scholars were dismissed for the Christmas holidays. There was displayed around the walls a very fine assortment of the work of the scholars, a special feature being the drawings, the visiters displaying much interest therein.
The speakers for the afternoon were the Clutirman of the Committee (Mr. J. Lloyd) and the Rector (Mr. do Berry) while an apology was made for the absence of Air. Aitken, Mr. Bennett being the only other Committeeman present. 1
