MAN FIRES AT CHANCELLOR

_ VIENNA, June 1. Chancellor Seipel was fired at three times by a young Communist, a weaver named Jaworek, as he was entering a motor car at the railway station. The bullet pierced a lung and an operation was performed. It i e expected that the Chancellor will recover.

The police regard the* crime as a political one, and assert that the Chancellor who was formerly a Roman Uathohc pnest, had many enemies despite his distinguished service to Austria.
