THE ANGELL ESTATE.
GORE, May 19. ! K«gardmg the Auckland report of the Angell estate claimants, an interview was obtained with Mr John Garvey, of Waikaia, father of Miss Garvey, Auckland, who was said to have proof of family connection with Mr John Angell, who died in 1774 Mr Garvey states that much nonsense has been published, but he can trace his connection with Mr Angell, who was his grandmother's uncle. The estate was not released by the Chancery Court, however, owing to Mr Angell's deatlx certificate having been lost, the old law evidently requiring production of the certificate. Mr Angell «lied aboard a ship returning from India to London. In any case the descendants are so numerous now that the Garveys share would be very small An effort was made 20 years ago by Mr Garvey when in England to establish his claim to the estate, but all efforts tailed. In his opinion there is now no hkelihood of the Garvey family establishing their claim to the estate, which only comprises 60 acres at Brixton j
