PEKING, May 16. An unkft^Avii person left a box at the ii(Hiie of Foreign Minister (Dr. "Wellingt«^i Koo) saying that it contained articles for Dr. Koo's personal "use. £)t. Koo ordered the box to be openew, but remained in his study. "Wheft. the lid was removed a bomb inside exploded with terrific force, matagling three servants, whose condition is critical.—Aus.-N.Z. Reuters special representative "w-&s to Canton last night with instructions to demand an interview with I>r. Sun Vat Sea. He visited and saw the Secretary, Engene Ohen, who said the Dr. Sun Vat Seni did not feel called upon to see anyone. Chen was emphatic that Sun Tat Sen was perfectly well after his indisposition, not illness. He was "therefore refused an interview with Jlgffl Vat Sen. The opinion in Hong"itoiig still is that Sun Vat Sen is dead, or that he is suffering a very severe mental breakdown which justifies prohibition upon anyone seeing him except the nearest relations.—Renter.
