LONDON, May 17. Litigation in tie case in which a man named Harnett obtained substantial damages against two doctors for his; detention in an asylum has already cosfc £50,000. B*v Bond, lunacy commissioner, who appealed against the verdict against him, is considering an appeal to the Hou6e of Lords.

The Court of Appeal gave judgment in : the Harnefet case, allowing Dr. Adams' appeal, entering judgment for hita with costs, and ordering a new trial in the case of Dr. Bond, who was granted the costs of the appeal, while the costs of the first trial will abide by the. result of the rehearing,, with certain limitations.
