QWING to nearly all the larger newspapers dec-lining to publish advertisement, only 1300 replies were received. Most of the writing, however, was so good that the judges had great difficulty in making the awards, which are as follows: Ist prize, Miss N. Hutchison, 10 Park St., Dunedin; 2nd, £15, Miss N.
