' SYDNEY, Jan. 23. lne Oncket Association has issued a lengthy statement, explaining that the trustees of the ground, and not the association, is responsible for the catering arrangements, adding that in future the secretary will ensure that players receive proper *attention. It also explained that every step would be taken to reimburse players who lose their wages through participating in games. The association regrets that it was unable to persuade Kelleway to play against Victoria, though he was informed that the association would do everything possible to secure for him the necessary leave.—Aus.-N.Z.
