Messrs Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., report iraving received the following cablegram from their London house under date of the 17th inst.:
Lamb. —Prime Crossbred, Canterbury heavy 9£dj Canterbury light lid, North Island heavy B£d, North Island light lOd. Demand for New Zealand lamb runs principally on light weights. Prices weak arid look like going lower.
Mutton."—Prime crossbred, . North Island heavy 7%&, light B£d. Demand for New Zealand mutton limited. Market dull but sellers are firm.
Beef.— JS ew Zealand prime ox beef, hinds 4d, fores 3£d. Demand poor, market quiet.
Australian frozen meat. —Good average quality crossbred lamb, heavy Bd, light IOJd. Demand for Australian lamb runs principally on finest qualities. Good average quality crossbred mutton/ heavy 6-Jd, light 7<3. Demand for Australian mutton poor.
