CONFERENCE SUGGESTED
(BY TELISGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WESTPORT, Sept. 25. At a meeting of the Buller Progress League this evening it was resolved to urge the Minister for Mines to send Mr Kimbell (Under-Secretary for Mines) or some other suitable jierson down to endeavour to arrange a conference between the mine owners v.ud the miners with a view to a speedy lnent of the mining trouble.
