MAORIS v. TARANAKI B
Football enthusiasts are looking forward to the match between the Maori reps, and the, Taranaki B reps, which is to be played at Eltham next Saturday. Considerable care has been exercised by the selectors, and the following team to represent the Maoris has been picked: Full-back, Tuki Ruru (Okaiawa); three-quarters, T. Hohaia (Opunake), P. Matene (Clifton), F. Hohaia (Opunake); five-eighths, W. Tangipo (Patea) captain, Tuwhaka (Opunake), half, H. Mana (Tukapa); forwards, J. Davis (Wait-otara), W. Soffe (Clifton), Peta (Okaiawa), Ike (Okaiawa), R. Williams (Hawera), Ruru Sam (Waimate), Tonga (Waimate), W. Skelton (Urenui). Emergencies: Tamanui (Waimate), Skipper (Okaiawa), T. On August 15 the Hawera seniors are to meet the Wednesday reps, the proceeds of the mat"h to go to Mr. H. A. Wilkinson. Mr. Wilkinson, who was one of Hawera's finest athletes, has many, friends who will not hesitate when it comes to doing him a good turn.
