ESTATE OP MURRAY AND LACEY. A meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of J. E. Murray and H ±i. In their statement to the Deputy Official Assignee, the bankrupts said: \\e commenced business in November, l 1921, by taking over the machinery exchange of Barratt and Co. We took i over with the business a liability to H. | M. Lee of £313, of which amount we | paid off £100 shortly after commencing. Business was fairly good for twelve months, and we paid a further £60 to I Lee's estate, but owing to the present conditions of business we have been absolutely unable to get ahead of our debts, as we have no liquid capital or means to travel the district in orde,r to ! get bus.'ness. -"We attribute our bank- ! ruptcy to general slackness of trade and j depreciation in the value of the articles ■ m which we have dealt.
