MIRACULOUS ESCAPE OF DRIVER-

I INVERCARGILL, June 22. i A miraculous escape from death, oc- ; curred when a motor car crashed into an invercargill-Tuatapere train at WalI la-cetown this afternoon. The driver of I the car, seeing the train, swerved in i the same direction as the train was j "going, and this probably saved his life. ! The train tossed the car off the line, ; smashing it hopelessly, but the driver J was only slightly bruised. The locomotive was too> badly smashed to pro- ■ ceed on the journey.
