Happy Man was ridden by Smyth. The race wn's won by a short head from Silurian (Westou), who was a. length ahead "of Flechois (Jennings). The« King and Queen received a tremendous ovation from a record crowd. The weather was brilliant. Mr. Hard}', owner of Happy Man, states the horse w-'i.s twice vainly offered for sale for £.90.
