Ou arrival at Waverley, the Hawera ladies were entertained Dy Sergt.-Major Mahoney to hot coffee, and this was very much appreciated by the ladies after their long and cold drive. The welcome extended to the Hawera team left nothing to be desired, and special mention must be made of the t suppsr provided by the ladies of the ', Waverley Club for their splendid entertaken of in the Town Hall after the match. Every member of the Hawera team voted the trip ono of the most enjoyable* yet undertaken, and the committee of the local club wish to thank very heartily the members of the Waverley Club fo rtheir splendid entertainment. 1 Members are again reminded that the first round of the team's chaiapioosh.ip finishes on- Tuesday of ntext week,- alter which date the room will be closeo for a fortnight, owing to the troom being . vised by the committee of the Empire ' Week Demonstration for the feeding of t the visiting; school children, The second round of the teams' matches and the first round of the club championshin will commence on Tuesi day, July 10. On Monday night next a match will be fired on the local range against a Marton team. This will be a post match. The team to represent Hawera will he selected on the range, as was done iv the match against Wangarmi P. and T., p.nd all members are requested to be present at 7 p.m. sharp.
