DOG TRIALS.
NORTH ISLAND ASSOCIATION
(BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) DANNEVIRKE, June 7. At the annual meeting of the North Island Sheep Dog Trials Association 23 delegates of affiliated clubs were present. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Mr. R. D. D. McLean (Hawke's Bay); president, Mr. D. L. Blythe (Wanganui). All the old vicepresidents were re-elected, also Messrs J. McHardy (Materoa) W. H. Sprowell (Takau), P. H. Sommerfield (Wairoa) E. K. Finlayson (Paparia), B. H Norman (Kumeroa), .J. McL. Harvey (Wia~ tahora)- hon. treasurer, Mr. *W. H. (laisford (Dannevirke); secfetary, Mr. W. Cuthbertson (Takapau). Mr/ A. McGlashan, of Kereru was appointed judge for next_year's trials, which will be held at Wanganui, and the following year at Gisborne. The executive appointed consisted of Messrs H. Sloane (North Auckland), T. Muir (Main Trunk), A. T. Hunter (Wanganui) W. H. Gaisford (Dannevirke). W. MacFrtrlane (Central Hawke's Bay), W. Whyte (Gisborne), and J. R. Corrigan (Hawera).
A new scheme for the grouping of clubc w;)s -approved. A vote of thanks was passed to the Dnnrovirke Club for the admirable manner in which they had conducted the c';;: u> ; > iji)ship meeting.
