OKAIAWA (6) v. WAIMATE (O)
The above teams met on the Okaiawa ground, and after a fairly even contest Okaiawa won by 6 points to nil. X Myers scored a try and McGuire kicked a penalty goal, both scores being put up in the first spell. Okaiawa's goal-kicking was lamentably weak, only one out of numerous attempts right in front of the goal being successful. Mr. Jim Johnstone was referee.
