ARMY MEAT SUPPLY.
LONDON, May 18.
It is stated that it is extremely unlikely that any portion of the pending Navy and Army meat contracts will be awarded to Australian tenderers. They were given an opportunity to recast their tenders and did so, but despite the full allowance under preference arrangements their quotations are still higher than their competitors by at least a farthing a pound.
