A JOKE.ON MR BAXTER. Mr Baxter, the popular proprietor of Baxter's Lung Preserver, has just left on a holiday visit to Melbourne. When stopping at the Empire Hotel in Wellington the o^ier day, he happened to have a slight cough, caused probably through smoking. A man sitting nearby in the lounge turned to him and said, in a confidential kind of way, ''You ought to get a bottle of Baxter's Lung Preserver, old man. That's the stuff for a cough! " Mr Baxter did not reveal his identity, but the remark shows how popular this well-known preparation is throughout the Dominion. The manufacture of Baxter's Lung Preserver started over fifty,-seven yeara ago, and by sheer merit it has steadily forged to the front, until to-day it is the leading cough and cold medicine in the country. "Baxter's" is a rich, red, soothing compound that does you good from the first dose. It ia free from harmfu] narcotics, and being most palatable, is readily taken by children. If you would be free from coughs and colds this winter, you will wisely get a large-sized bottle of Baxter's Luna Preserver now. Obtainable at all chemists and stores at 2/6. Famirv size, 4/6. -q, J
